Indian River Falls at the Buzzer in Home Thriller
FORT PIERCE, FL- Indian River State College played host to Pensacola State College on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in another nail-biter that once again came down to the final possession.
The River controlled the tempo early, heading into halftime with an eight-point lead after holding Pensacola to just 36 first-half points. Indian River continued to battle on both ends of the floor, but the game stayed tight throughout the second half.
In the final seconds, Indian River had a chance to tie or win the game, but Adam Squire's three-point attempt with two seconds left came up short. Pensacola escaped with a 76–73 victory.
Adam Squire led the River with 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Caleb Cameron added 15 points and four rebounds, while Anthony Ferrer chipped in 12 points and five rebounds. The River also got another strong performance from their big man in the middle, who recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Freshmen Anthony, Tamiel, and Caleb have all been having solid seasons so far, and the coaching staff believes they still have much more to give as the season progresses.
Despite the loss, Indian River continues to show it can compete with anyone in the nation. Coach Jackson and his staff remain focused on preparing the team and building momentum as they move forward.
