2026 NJCAA Swimming and Diving Champions

FORT PIERCE, FL - The Indian River Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving programs successfully defended their NJCAA National titles in Fort Pierce, Florida, at the campus of Indian River State College.

The women's team managed to win all 25 events on the way to winning their 48th National Championship and 44th in a row. On the men's side, the River men won 21 of the 25 events contested and secured their 52nd National Title.

Five national records were set by River athletes, with sophomore Marcus Johnson being a part of all five. His national records came in the 50 breaststroke prelims, both the prelims and finals of the 100 breaststroke, and he joined up with teammates Noah Smith, Zackary Gresham, and Oliver Nell to break the 400 medley relay and tie the 200 medley relay records.

Individual honors achieved at the 2026 National Championships were:

NJCAA Female Swimmer of the Year (tie)

Kelly Zwart – 1st place finishes in the 50 free, 100 fly, 50 fly, and 100 free.

Wiktoria Maciuszek – 1st place finishes in the 50 breast, 50 back, 100 back, and 200 back.

NJCAA Female Diver of the Year – Jada Toland, 1st place finishes in both diving events.

NJCAA Male Swimmer of the YearMarcus Johnson, 3rd in the 200 IM and 1st in the 50, 100, and 200 breast with national records in the 50 and 100 (x2).

NJCAA Male Diver of the YearSpencer Biggs, 1st place finishes in both diving events.

Individual event winners for the women included Wiktoria Maciuszek (50 breast, 50/100/200 back), Marie Kopacova (1000/1650 free), Paola Negrin (200/400 IM, 200 fly), Kelly Zwart (50/100 fly, 50/100 free), Jada Toland (1m/3m dive), Tazmyn Robson (200/500 free), Khloe de Santana Guidry (100 IM), and Cara Ralfe (100/200 breast). Relay winners included the 800 free relay (Marie Kopacova, Tazmyn Robson, Ciel Sanabria, Paola Negrin), 200 free relay (Kelly Zwart, Tazmyn Robson, Jackie Conroy, Khloe de Santana Guidry), 400 medley relay (Wiktoria Maciuszek, Cara Ralfe, Kelly Zwart, Tazmyn Robson), 200 medley relay (Wiktoria Maciuszek, Cara Ralfe, Kelly Zwart, Jackie Conroy), and 400 free relay (Tazmyn Robson, Kelly Zwart, Wiktoria Maciuszek, Khloe de Santana Guidry).

On the men's side, individual winners included Marcus Johnson (50/100/200 breast), Noah Smith (200 IM, 200 back), Oliver Nell (50 free, 50 back, 100 IM, 50 fly), Spencer Biggs (1m/3m dive), Zackary Gresham (100 fly, 100 back), Knut Robinson (500/1650 free), and Kalaa Hall (100 free). Relay winners included the 800 free relay (Noah Smith, Kalaa Hall, Arnas Monkelis, Knut Robinson), 200 free relay (Brayden Hunt, Oliver Nell, Kalaa Hall, Marcus Johnson), 400 medley relay and 200 medley relay (Noah Smith, Marcus Johnson, Zackary Gresham, Oliver Nell), and 400 free relay (Oliver Nell, Kalaa Hall, Marcus Johnson, Noah Smith).

With the season now over, the teams look forward to the 2026–2027 season, which will conclude at the National Championships scheduled for Evansville, Indiana, March 3–6, 2027.
