The River Rallies to Defeat South Florida State College

AVON PARK, FL- In a hard-fought match against South Florida State College yesterday, September 19, the Pioneers pulled off yet another thrilling five-set victory. With a final score of 25-20, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, and 15-4, the Pioneers bounced back from a mid-match deficit to claim the win.

The Pioneers opened strong, claiming the first set 25-20, but South Florida State responded fiercely, edging out the second and third sets 25-27 and 22-25. With the pressure on, the Pioneers remained composed and took the fourth set 25-23, setting up a dramatic fifth-set showdown.

In the deciding set, the Pioneers were unstoppable, racing out to an early lead and dominating to secure a commanding 15-4 victory. Their defense was impenetrable, and their teamwork soared in those final moments, leaving South Florida State struggling to find answers.

Now, the Pioneers will look to carry this momentum into today's game, September 20, as they face Palm Beach State College at home at 5:30 p.m.

Now standing at 8-5 overall and 4-3 in conference play, the Pioneers are building solid momentum as they push through the season.
