The River Sweeps FSCJ in Pink Out Match

The River Sweeps FSCJ in Pink Out Match

Fort Pierce, FL – The River volleyball team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night, earning a sweep over conference opponent Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) in their annual Pink Out Game supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.

With the crowd decked out in pink and the players wearing special jerseys to honor the fight against breast cancer, The River fed off the energy and never looked back. The home team took control early and closed the night in three straight sets, winning 25-20, 25-17, 25-13.

The River used strong serving and balanced offensive play to keep FSCJ on its heels throughout the match. Timely kills on the outside and steady play at the net helped secure the opening set, while aggressive serving runs widened the gap in sets two and three. Consistent back row defense and energy from the bench kept momentum on The River's side from start to finish.

The River returns home on Friday, October 3rd, for another conference matchup against St. Johns River State College. First serve is set for 5:00 PM at the The River Gymnasium. Fans are encouraged to come out, pack the stands, and keep the energy rolling.
