The River Storms Back at Home
FORT PIERCE, FL - The River extended its winning streak to three games with a big win back at home after two tough road matchups. With the victory, The River improves to 14–10 overall and 6–5 in conference play.
The River went into halftime down 12, and early in the second half Hillsborough Community College pushed the lead to 22 points. It looked like a difficult situation, but The River never folded. After a key timeout, Coach Jackson challenged his team — and they responded the right way.
The River went on a strong run, cutting the lead to under 10 with six minutes left in the game. From that point on, the momentum completely shifted. The River showed just how dangerous they can be when they lock in, defend with intensity, and play their style of basketball.
Leading the way tonight was Tamiel Green with 24 points and 10 rebounds, delivering a dominant performance on both ends of the floor. Caleb Cameron had a big offensive night as well, finishing with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Adam Squire did everything you ask from a point guard. Even while being face-guarded all night, he controlled the game's tempo and finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
It was a great team win and an even better feeling to protect home court. The River is rolling.
