River Pushe Daytona State to the Limit
DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The River traveled to Daytona Beach on Wednesday night to take on the No. 15 team in the nation, Daytona State College. As expected, it was a battle from start to finish.
The River went into halftime down by four but came out in the second half on fire, building a 10-point lead and seizing momentum. The game plan was working perfectly. The River forced turnovers, controlled the tempo, and once again proved they can compete with anybody in the conference and in the country.
In the end, the River came up just short in a hard-fought 79–75 loss. The River has been knocking on the door of a Top 25 win all season, and you can feel it coming. This group continues to grow, compete, and show they belong on that stage.
The River was led by:
Caleb Cameron – 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists
Tamiel Green – 16 points, 6 rebounds
Anthony Ferrer – 16 points, 6 rebounds off the bench
Adam Squire – 12 points
The three freshmen stepped up and played well in a big-time environment, showing composure and confidence under pressure.
Now the focus shifts to the upcoming conference games as the River pushes to make a run toward the state tournament. The mission stays the same — keep building, keep believing, and finish strong.
