MIAMI, FL- The River traveled south to compete in the Miami Dade Christmas Classic and closed out the year on a two-game winning streak.
The River opened the Classic with a dominant performance, rolling to a 113–73 victory. They were led by Arlindo Bernardo, who came off the bench to post a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Cameron matched his scoring effort with 22 points while adding 7 rebounds.
Anthony Ferrer contributed 13 points, while Sharief Parks provided a strong spark off the bench with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Adam Squire chipped in 10 points and 6 assists, helping the offense run smoothly throughout the night.
The second game proved to be a much tougher battle, but the River stayed composed and pulled out an 81–70 win. Freshman Anthony Ferrer delivered a breakout performance, pouring in 43 points to lead the way. Sharief Parks once again stepped up off the bench, turning in his best game of the season with a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds.
With two hard-earned victories, the River heads into the new year with momentum, finishing the season strong and confident after back-to-back wins.
